About Dr. Hanna

Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Hanna moved to the Midwest to obtain her medical degree from Des Moines University. She met her west coast husband in medical school and they both decided to call Chicagoland their home. After completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Dr. Hanna discovered her true passion was practicing Gynecology and Women's Healthcare, not delivering babies. She went on to spend most of her 25+ year career in private practice as a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon. As her patients aged, she was faced with menopause questions she was unable to answer confidently. She was one of the 80% of physicians who obtained little menopause training in her OB/GYN residency. Dr. Hanna enhanced her knowledge by becoming a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner to better serve her patients. She retired her scalpel to focus on transforming women's lives at perimenopause and menopause, founding MyMenopauseRx in April 2021.
